St Aoko Medical Centre is a next-generation community hospital established to transform healthcare access in Western Kenya.
We are the medical arm of Hawi Global Foundation (HGF), a non-profit organization that has served thousands of vulnerable families through free medical camps, surgical interventions, maternal health outreach, and health system strengthening.
St Aoko Medical Centre exists to turn that decade of outreach into a permanent, stable, and scalable health system.

On January 1st, 2018, our founder’s mother, Elizabeth Aoko, was denied admission to an ICU because the family could not raise KES 100,000 on the spot.
She died hours later—without ever receiving the critical care she needed.
If a dedicated medical family could lose a loved one due to financial barriers, what hope does the average vulnerable household have?
This tragedy transformed our work from compassion to a lifelong vow:

St Aoko Medical Centre was created in her honor—to ensure no patient is turned away, ever again.
St Aoko Medical Centre is a community-based hospital developed as the in-house medical facility of Hawi Global Foundation, an organization with over a decade of experience providing free medical and surgical services to marginalized communities across Kenya.
